Tax Deed Question. Party Of Interest and Lack Of Service

Hi James,

Hope your making lots of money and having fun! I see your posts all over the web...how do you have time??

I just bought a 1/2 duplex at the tax deed sale...beautiful property in a great location...the title search came up good...no leins or mortgages as of May 2011. However, the previous owner contacted me and told me B of A had a large mortage on the property. He's a little weird and I found out from the current renter that he told me a couple of other lies. Anyway, how can I find out if B of A has a mortgage on the property and what should I do if the answer is yes. FYI: B of A was not notified of the tax deed sale since no encumberance showed up on the title search.

Thanks!
Ginger
